i think i've been pushing myself to work too hard again, i'm feeling unwell now. took two aspirin already, hope i'll be fine by tomorrow because i have thousands of cookie and other pastry to be done before 21st dec.

hello there

started my day with homemade chocolate molten cake, fresh from the oven. i wish i can put it up on the menu, but it has to be served right after baking. conclusion, there's no way i can sell it until i open a cafe :p

today i chilled with girlssss only at a cafe in town, then at night, angel's gummybear and my friend joined us for dinner at sushi tei. yay what a day ♡ oh we had quick tea at bakerzin whilst lining up for sushi tei.

yesterday i watched Pussy in boots in 3D. not a really good movie but i did enjoy it, not to mention bcs i had hotdog roll while watching :p and i had sushi tei for dinner then massage. life's good on weekends.

hello, another big day :)

It's the wedding of Easter Sirait & Ferdinand, and it's my pleasure to be trusted me on their dessert table. it's a huge wedding and they celebrate it 3 days in 3 different venues. the sister of the bride, Nia, requested a grand dessert table for the 1800 pax wedding at JW Marriott, Medan. the theme is english rose, and she said she loves my handcrafted roses, which is why so many roses on the table. i spent 5 bloody hours without a break, just to finish 100 roses on the cupcakes.

my brother and bff help me on lifting all the stuffs from house to venue. these few days has been very tiring, i got bad cough and flu. but when everything is set up on the table, seeing the result gives me butterflies :)

i went to waroeng wak noer for dinner, and they just expanded the cafe. i love the cafe to the core, it's like my dream cafe minus the dessert table in the middle and shelves full of fine patisserie :) i love off-white wooden tables, combine with pale matt colours, and the comfy sofas, and the floor tiles represent much of classic french kitchen. aaaaa i'm so in love with the interior, it's the preetiest cafe i ever been to.

i love the window, the floor tile, the wall, the frames, the fireplace, the blue wooden wall behind the fireplace, the chairs, the tables esp the tall table!, the random sofas, the window lining, seriously almost everything ♡ i dislike the lights tho, and the plasma tv doesn't fit in. i feel like opening la maison cafe now :p

i love the table above soooo much that i feel like buying it or stealing it, whatever.

sigh i think i've been talkactive enough, i'd better go to bed now.

the good thing about running your own business is that you can have any days off you want :p geesus my body is freaking sore, so i had a massage this evening. and the good thing about day off is that i could hug and play with my kitty cats, i can't do this in weekdays bcs i have to prepare food.

i think i lost my voice bcs of too many talking in noisy place, now i'm completely sound like the grudge or smthg. okay, today i went to a wedding party then a birthday party in late night. no idea why nowadays all events serve alcohol? i went home early though, i had too many events with alcohol and i fed up with it.

today i went to private party for an hour at excexx. it started from 6 to 1, and i arrived there around 10. half of them were so fcked up, there's a couple were kissing on my left, there's a guy barely carrying another guy who passed out, and there's a guy on top of another guy on sofa, many more i couldn't type everything i saw.

around 11, we went to have my fave street fried rice at the corner, in front of sun plaza. it was raining heavily and it made the fried rice tastes even better! yumm, to be mentioned i had two portions :p

i'd no choice other than brushing my bff's face unless he'll kill me for popping up this picture on my blog. he kept saying that he looked horrible on the pic above. anywayss, idk what people have been talking out there about me and my bff, but all i can say is yes we're just bestfriends. he's a really easy going guy and he's my ex's cousin, he's the kind of friend that i could simply be myself around with, and the kind of friend whom i can talk to about all shits i go thru. it's such a pleasure to meet such guy and i wish i never lose him as a friend.

what's wrong with people in this town? why would people even bother to talk and make stories about my personal life? i mean like, even if we're dating, it's my own shit to date who or whatever. please go get a life, rather than discussing people's personal life.

today i was busy like shit. like always, saturday is the busiest day in the kitche

n. i missed my friend's bakery opening, and i was in rush to catch my bff's 21st birthday party. oh i made his cake too!

it took us (me and my bro) three days to finish off the cake. the theme is party rock ala lmfao, it's such a detailed cake with all the colours, the exact "party rock" font, the lmfao sunglasses, the studded leather, and the popular box head with "I'm Sexy" necklace, and the most depressing part is cutting out the zebra pattern on the cake.

it seems like everybody had loads of fun. some people passed out on the spot lol and thank god i know how to limit my alcohol so i were sober. oh the birthday guy looked a bit drunk, hahaha oh and i got the first cake too! hahaha then people were screaming "kiss kiss kiss" but both of us rejected. no offense mate, we're bestfriends.

i'm so exhausted :( usual la maison's bb holder is no longer working, three maids who used to do the unstopable-rotating-dishes & get boxes ready were fired by mum, while orders are still crazy and my brother is helping me on that bcs i don't have the patience to bbm 15-30 people at once. dad is looking for a new assistant to take care of la maison's bb. sigh.

It's the big day!

today is the opening of Grace Kelly Bridal Parlour. i love the studio, it feels very comfy and full of awesome gowns. i went there in the morning, set up the macaron table for the lovely party, then being make-up and hair do for the fashion show in the afternoon.

met some friends at the party, it feels good to catch up with people. i think i've been spending too much time in the kitchen. oh i updated my online shop last night, have you check it? :)

yesterday i was busy like hell, orders on today are just insane. below are only half of today's orders which i randomly set into a dessert table. i apologize for rejecting many last minute orders for today, because as you can see, weekends are always my hectic days of the week.

as i stare at the picture above, i'm glad to be able to spread loves around thru my pastry :) from the left, there's a macaron tower for Bridal Parlour's opening, then a new creation cake whose customer is taking it out of town, then a macaron tower for a birthday party, then macaron pop for tomorrow's dessert table, and a baby shower cake on the right end. on the lower level is some cupcakes specially designed for boyfriends' birthday, opera combined with macaron for first year anniversary, and more red velvet for birthdays, and some original cupcakes for daily consume. you've no idea how grateful i am to be trusted for the sweets on people's special day :)

sooo today i did accessories fitting for the fashion show tomorrow at Grace Kelly Bridal Parlour's opening. then i went back home, finishing sweets for the party as well. so basically tomorrow i'm going to walk two bridal gown for the show, and setting up a little dessert table for the show as well.

my brother's friend grabbed me some from melbourne, and it looked crashed but ok, better than none. it's not as amazing as i expected, but it might because of the time of traveling. i haven't try all of them, i was so excited to try out lemon one, since my lemon macaron is my fave. but la belle miette's lemon macaron is not good at all :( the filling is very sweet, and it's not tangy at all.
and.. ok the point is, i'm not happy.

it's kinda entertaining me when i received haters messages and you're hiding your name, screwing people while appeared as anonymous. you're such a joke because you can say it on my back, but you can't say it on my face. like seriously, don't your feel ashamed of yourself?

cause i do, i do feel ashamed for you and your life. you only have one life in this wonderful world. why are you so busy spending your precious life on stalking people, make fake shits about people, judging and commenting people, and even comparing people while they don't even compare themselves? isn't it better for you to think about yourself, what you're going to do with your life?

loved today because i got hugs and kisses from dad & mum. received short greetings from two of my bff in town. people has been asking me to post my birthday cake pictures. frankly, i don't have any birthday cake for this year. i was very busy finishing others' birthday cakes. i finished early in the kitchen today and have little birthday dinner with my family. where? sushi tei, it's my fave restaurant in town.

then, my ex's cousin asking me to join him & his friends for an after-party at retrospective. i was waiting him to pick me up when suddenly there's a weird knock from my bathroom, the lights was off, i thought it was my big bro teases me. i opened the door slowly while heart beats like there's no tomorrow, and it turns out to be two of my bff singing happy birthday to me, with a heart-shaped ferrero roche and candles. i was so surprised that i happily cried, they said last night they'd planned it with my bros.

and in the end, i brought my bffs along to the after-party. chilling with seniors, more handshakes of birthday greetings, and suddenly the mc announced "happy birthday to stella lowis!", ops. hahaha

i feel blessed for receiving so many lovely birthday greetings and wishes. thank you guys :)

hello

last night i just got back from my short holiday, with overweight luggages. this morning i'm back to the kitchen and i'm surprised by my shop calender. it's so packed that i have to work all day non-stop to prepare pastries for tomorrow. i didn't bring a camera along on my trip but i took some pictures by my blackberry, so here are some pictures from landed to boarding!

got two new tattoo. both are drew and written by myself. so it's my own handwriting on my wrist. la belle famille means the beautiful / great family, it represents my loving to my family.

hello! it's almost 1am, i'm so tired today. tmrw morning i'm leaving to Malaysia to stock up some ingredients for my kitchen, so basically i have to finish all orders for tomorrow. i finished working at 11pm and now my whole body aches huhu. oh as i promised, here's the newest creation from La Maison patisserie :)

all about dessert table! finally i got a time to do dessert table.

these few days i've been working on a grand wedding in January 2011. so the bride chooses me to take over all pastries on her special day. it includes an 8 tier wedding cake, almost 1000 customize cookies on every entree plates of every single guests, a few macarons in a lovely box as souvenirs for every guests, and one yet huge dessert table which will be located in the very centre!

the dessert table will have more 2 tier cake, a tall cupcakes stand filled with heaps of customize cupcakes, an approx 1.2m macaron tower, and more sweets, more chocolates, more cookies, more fine pastries, more sugar, wouldn't tell you everything; it's a grand surprise!

so i did the menu planning and a soft sketch of her grand dessert table, and i'll meet the bride in 2 days. ok i'm as excited as the bride.

another great news, there's a new creation going to be launched on this weekend. still gotta do more tasting before i put it up on the menu.

it's been hell of a busy week. i couldn't even leave my kitchen for half day. so I'm going to Kuala Lumpur on this weekend, alone. yes alone, my friends over there will take a good care of me. i promised myself to eat less, bcs next month i'm going to pull out a few wedding dress at GraceKellyB Grand Opening. oh and i need a haircut.

this little shop specializing in macaron just opened a few months ago in melbourne and apparently it hits in oz very much. friends of mine told me that their macaron is the best macaron they ever had, whilst some says it's the best in oz. i'm dying to try them :( i love the shops and boxes too.

melbourne used to be very closed to me, yet now i don't even have a clue when i'll get a chance to munch them :(

Kitchen opens today and many people came to grab boxes of La Maison new macarons collection (see picture above). it's good to have brothers who love camera so they could get good pictures for me, then i did the editing and finished it up with an old white wooden frame. There are so many things on my To-Do list today, i have to wake up very early tomorrow to finish things up. It's September 1, which means two things. First, it's my second brother's birthday, he's turning 25 today. Second, i'm turning 20 (TWENTY) in a month :( thirty days left and i'm no longer a teenager.

I'm thinking to throw a brunch in a garden to celebrate me turning 20, with lots and lots of macarons and cupcakes, but i would be having troubling with guesting. Guess i need to get out and socialize more, i've been staying at home for a while since i came home from Sydney.

Oh well, i took some picture with my cats since i never really show you my feline friends.

Above is Sissy the white Bellatrix. she's afraid of almost nothing and she has her signature punch to punch off anything that annoys her. she takes care of her weight and fur very much.

Here's Cici, the wild cat adopted by my big brother. he's chubby boy, overdose indeed. he sleeps next to me.

And above is Sissy's sister, Sassa. she's very skinny, only 2kg while Cici is almost 8kg. she's afraid of everything, but she loves sweets and desserts. she loves macaron, salted caramel sauce, and dark chocolate mousse. she was sick before, because of eating too much desserts caused her an ulcer infection.

Hi, my bestfriend F is turning 20! this morning i baked her fav chocolate cupcakes in super size, with her favourite actor Rob & Vin on the top of the cupcakes. we both are happily single around our bestfriend A which is crazily in love with her A. A is out of town so there's only two of us today.

I'm completely suck with this town. there's no beaches, no shops, no place to grab a good extra-froth mocca, no place to hang. i hated going to malls because i felt like there's a fashion competition going on. people would stare at you from head to toe and whisper to the person next to them, then the other person would stare at your from toe to head and whisper back. and i couldn't drive until late because people kills to steal here, ops not to be missed the "rape" first, then shot shot you die then throw you into the river then steal your car. what the hell is going onnn? i have no idea. i'm going to book a ticket to Kuala Lumpur tomorrow. a few days out of town would be a good idea.

Hi. so i'm laying on my bed with my fav sweats on, it's annoying that it rains when i'm blue. everybody's on holiday while i can only be found whether working in the kitchen, or slacking under my blanket. i need to learn how to socialize. i don't talk much in public, not because i lost my voice or i hated talking. i simply don't know what to ask, or what to talk about.

I hated myself for being so blue. all i really want right now is a dark chocolate fondue next to my bed, with grapes, banana, and loads of marshmallows. and a bouquet of pale pink carnation..

my lovely cat, Sissy went away from home this morning. she hasn't come home yet and it was raining in the evening. She's 3y.o white-caramel fluffy female cat, honey eyes, playful, spoiled, and scared of almost nothing. she loves knowing everything and she likes to punch anything that annoys her. please let me know if there's anyone in Medan seen her somewhere :(

those white roses looks so beautiful. kitchen has been very busy and my brother is taking over all the customized cupcakes job. i only tell him a bit basic about ready-to-roll icing and basic tools, and he read a few books of mine. now he's doing Angry Bird, Mario Bros, Graduation, Tennis, DJ, Bowling, Domo, Make-up, Teddy Bears, and many more cupcake themes are on his calender. i have no idea where he got that talent to create miniatures, but it's good because i hate working with RTR icing.

above is the french macaron tower i made yesterday, and currently i'm working on another one for this Saturday. i'll show you the picture on Sunday :) my shop hit 1000+ likes on facebook and i feel so blessed, glad to have many people liking my work.

I miss that feeling when I was exhausted after work yet I still had to do the laundry. I miss cleaning my room once a week and tidying up my closet. sorry i've been very busy lately, never get a day off since i officially run my online pastry shop and above are people's orders on this weekend. shop has been very very busy, i didn't expect it to be this packed. now La Maison has its own Blackberry which PIN 2570043B.

in the morning dad makes me a glass of vitamin water and deliver it to my face, because he asked me to make it myself for one hundred times and i never did even once. and at night he delivers a tablespoon of gastric ulcer medicine with a glass of water to my face, because he's been asking me to drink it since months ago yet i never did. haha :D

i'm going to sleep soon, couldn't help myself from this endless yawning.

Sunday and I'm working! how pity I am. I'm pushing myself to make more macarons in a day because of too many requests on macaron, and currently macaron is fully booked until 11th August. next macaron order will be finished on 12th August.

it's been a very very busy week and will be a freaking busy weekend.

i'm taking orders 24 hours anytime anywhere. above picture was taken at Lake Toba and i was taking orders. i got 450++ macaron order for this weekend, customized birthday cupcakes on friday, birthday cupcakes on sunday. oh and a sweet birthday girl would like my cupcakes and macarons to be the souvenirs at her birthday party on this Saturday, how excited I am to decorate those sweets!

i can feel my legs are seriously sore right now. i'm working 6am-9pm daily since i open my online shop and i deserve a day off on next Thursday. Michelle went back to Jakarta this morning :( she stayed at my house while she was in Medan, i'm missing her presence so much.

My LDR BFF is coming to town ♡ yes it's Michelle Hendra the pretty fashion blogger. i picked her up from the airport and i took her to Tabona Curry Noodle and she's loving it. then we ordered Sate Padang and Es Buah from Kalimantan Street, we had dinner at Waroeng Wak Noer, then dessert and coffee at Bakerzin. no wonder i'm putting so much weight on my cheek :(

but it's okay, diet starts after she leaves. anyway, my pastry shop has been busy lately. it's tiring but it's good. i'm doing everything by myself, and parents are getting worried that i don't take a good care of myself. well, i'm not doing this stuffs merely for bucks. i'm loving what i'm doing, so it doesn't matter for me to wake up in dawn to make pastries.

everyday i'm making macaron, maybe i smell like macaron now. the blackcurrant macaron tastes so damn good, and vanilla rose. oh not to be forgotten, salted caramel. i can't even choose which one is the best now.
